Act 1 in Romeo and Juliet

So far in this play, we have met most of the main characters and known their intentions. The characters we know about so far are, Romeo, Juliet, Lord and Lady Montegue, Lord and Lady Capulet, Tybalt, Benvolio, Nurse, Mercutio, Paris, and the Prince. In Act 1, we find out that the Capulets and the Montegues are enemies who can't stand each other. In the first scene, they get into a roaring fight and the Prince had to come to break them up. He threatened their lives if they fought again like that. Also in the first scene, we realize Romeo has a broken heart. He had fallen in love with a nun, and she refuses to love him or even get married at all for that matter. In the second scene, Juliet is about to turn 14 and her dad and Paris want to try to find her a man to marry. It turns out Romeo gets invited to the Capulet party-his parents mortal enemies. Benvolio tries to make Romeo go so that he can meet another woman and forget about the nun. In the third scene, Nurse and Lady Montegue share memories of Juliet and Nurses late daughter who was the same age as Juliet. Juliet is about to turn 14 and they talk about trying to find her a husband-that she hasn't even thought of. In scene four, Benvolio, Mercutio, and Romeo talk about going to the party at the Capulets, Benvolio and Mercutio urge Romeo to go to meet a woman. They also talk about some dreams they have had. In scene five, Romeo goes to the Capulet party and meets Juliet. Tybalt finds out he is there and tells Capulet. Capulet lets it go and tells Tybalt to back off because he was going to do something bad. Later in the scene both Romeo and Juliet find out their parents are enemies and Romeo realizes what bad luck he has.

I am feeling pretty good about this play so far. It's interesting and there is already a lot of drama right off the bat. I am excited to find out how Romeo and Juliet plan to make their love work out and I am excited and anxious to find out how their parents handle the news. I understand most of the language. At times it can be a little tricky, but for the most part, I understand it. I am concerned about Romeo's behavior, he thinks of the most negative things way too quickly and I think he might be depressed. I do know how the play ends, so I am also concerned about reading that. But for the most part, I am excited to see what happens.

Predictions for Change of Heart

The book Change of Heart is a book by Jodi Picult and has multiple perspectives of different people. I have just started this book and I am very excited to see what happens. So far I have a few theories.

So far, I believe that this man named Shay Bourne who murdered a 7 year old girl and her step father, a police officer, gets sentenced to the death penalty. Another family somewhere else, has a dying daughter who is dying of heart failure. She needs a new heart or else she will die, but the only heart available that is her match is the murderer, Shay Bourne's heart. The parents get in a situation that they don't want to be in. They don't want their daughter to survive knowing that she has the heart of a murderer and they don't want a daughter who has a murderer's heart. In the end, I think that they will do the heart transplant just to save their daughters life.
Throughout the book I think my predictions will will change, just because they are predictions, not the real thing. But I hope that the little girl lives, even if she finds a new doner to get a heart. I am excited to read the story, and I don't think I will be disappointed!
